Terms & Conditions

Surrey Chauffeur UK Limited do not believe in “hidden costs” so listed below as well as our Terms and Conditions are ALL standard surcharges and additional amounts that would be applicable on any journey.

  • Journeys made "after hours" - £10 surcharge - (after hours is deemed to be transfers made between 23:00 and 06:00)*
  • Surrey Chauffeur operate a localised minimum rate of £10.00
  • Credit and Debit Card payments (including AMEX) = 3% surcharge on total transfer cost (including VAT)
  • Surcharges on specifically requested vehicle types* =
  • Estate 25%
  • MPV 50%
  • VIP 50% - S Class Mercedes or 7 Series BMW – or equivalent
  • Minibus/Coach – P.O.A
  • Tariffs for major sporting events such as Wimbledon, Twickenham, Ascot etc may be higher than at other times due to increased traffic congestion and journey times involved when these events are on.
  • Congestion Charge = At cost whenever applicable*
  • Airport Parking = At cost whenever applicable*
  • Multi Pickup/Drops - Up to a maximum of £5 per additional Pickup/Drop.
  • Waiting Time = £25.00 per hour or pro rata*
  • All tariffs subject to VAT at the current rate

Account Facilities

All bookings can be charged to an authorised account facility should this facility be available. All accounts will be invoiced on the last business day of each month and – unless otherwise agreed - must be settled within 15 days of the invoice date. Failure to comply with these payment terms may result in additional fees being added and may also result in instigating additional fees in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (interest) Act 1998. By lodging a valid Credit Card with SCUK you give authority for your card to be debited without prior notice for any outstanding invoice and/or additional charges.

Airport Meet & Greet

All inbound flights are tracked and monitored both on-line and with the airports automated flight information system to ensure a driver is always on time. There may be some occasions such as extremely heavy traffic congestion or if a flight has landed particularly early where a client may have to wait for a driver. SCUK will always keep in contact with the client to ensure that they are aware of the situation. We advise that all clients provide a contact mobile number at the time of booking and switch their phone on as soon as possible once landed. if there are any adverse conditions which will mean the driver will be delayed we would have already left a message on the clients mobile phone to inform of the fact. We will then stay in constant contact until the client has been met. Unless otherwise arranged all clients will be met in the terminal in the vicinity of airport information. Although every SCUK LTD driver will always assist a client with their luggage it is ultimately the clients’ responsibility to ensure that all items of luggage, camera/video equipment, hand bags and any other items are in the vehicle. No responsibility whatsoever will be taken by Surrey Chauffeur UK for luggage left in the airport terminal or car parking area.

Payments

Surrey Chauffeur UK accepts all major credit and debit cards (including AMEX). However a standard 3% processing fee is applied to all credit and debit card transactions. This is charged directly by the card processing agent (HSBC Bank) and is a straight through cost. Payment can also be via any account facility that may be active – (See Account Facilities), by cheque, on-line transfer, BACS or CHAPS. All payments are subject to VAT and any additional charges applicable.

Quotes

All quotes are based on the information supplied at the time of booking and are subject to change should the journey completed vary from that which is booked or should the vehicle level be changed by the client after a price has been quoted. All transfers are subject to – where applicable - additional costs such as car parking, congestion charge etc and all prices quoted are subject to VAT at the standard rate.

Daily/Hourly Rates

Daily/Hourly rates are calculated at no less than £35.00 per hour for our standard executive fleet and £45.00 per hour for our VIP and MPV fleet. 100 miles is also inclusive in these rates and any excess mileage thereafter is charged at £2.50 per mile*. All car parking fees and/ or congestion charge - where applicable – are charged separately. Where a vehicle is booked for an hourly or day hire and the initial collection and/or drop is outside a 10 mile radius of Weybridge an additional hour will be added for driver allocation.

All bookings made of this nature will be subject to a minimum charge of 3 hours and any cancellation made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged as such.

Bookings

Although to a certain extent we are able to offer an "on-demand" service we would highly recommend that in order to maintain reliability and to eliminate waiting times all journeys are pre-booked wherever possible. For private bookings no job will be undertaken without a valid credit or debit card number being lodged with the offices of Surrey Chauffeur UK Limited. By doing so you authorise us to debit your card for any additional charges, including cancellation and/or no shows without prior notice.

Waiting Time.

Waiting time is charged at £25.00 per hour pro-rata. Where a driver is collecting from a home addresses / offices or other venue (excluding Airports) unless otherwise instructed they will wait for a maximum of 30 minutes. Surrey Chauffeur will make every effort to contact the passenger however if no response is received or information to the contrary the driver will be released with no further notice and the booking billed as a “no show” to include the 30 minutes waiting charge. For inbound airport transfers a grace period of 45 minutes shall be given from the confirmed flight landing time thereafter waiting time shall be charged at £25.00 per hour pro rata or as above. Cancellation/No Show Fee.

For account clients any cancellations where the driver has already been dispatched will be invoiced at the quoted price for that transfer. Any account clients that fail to show will be invoiced at the published rate plus any applicable waiting time. See Waiting Time. For no shows on airport collections the waiting time will be calculated from the confirmed landing time of the inbound aircraft.

Out of Hours Surcharge.

Unless otherwise agreed all transfers are charged at the standard quoted rate + £10.00. Out of hours is deemed to be any transfer completed between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00.

General Additional Information.

  • Any person or persons who cause damage to the interior or exterior of the vehicle supplied through direct or indirect actions will be liable for the full costs of repairs plus loss of earnings to the driver up to a maximum of 7days.
  • Any person or persons that soil the interior of the vehicle in any way will be liable to a valeting charge of £250 + any other out of pocket expenses including loss of earnings up to a maximum of 7 days.
  • Use of the driver’s mobile phone by passengers will be charged at the driver’s discretion at the published rates applicable.
  • For all inbound airport transfers the client or customer will always be met in the airport terminal.
  • For all inbound airport transfers car parking fees are charged to the client.
  • Surrey Chauffeur UK Limited reserves the right to amend, add or delete Terms and Conditions wherever applicable without prior notice.
  • Bookings for “Christmas Parties” will only be accepted on account or payable with a valid Credit Card. All Credit card details must be provided in advance of any such booking. For all “Christmas Parties” a minimum £50.00 tariff will be levied with a £5.00 surcharge for each additional drop. For “Christmas Parties” no cash bookings will be accepted.

THE DRIVERS OF SURREY CHAUFFEUR UK LIMITED WILL SHOW PROFESSIONALISM AND RESPECT TO ALL PASSENGERS AT ALL TIMES. THEY WILL ALWAYS CONDUCT THEMSELVES IN A MATURE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND WILL ENDEAVOUR TO ASSIST CLIENTS IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE. WE WOULD ASK THAT ALL PASSENGERS TREAT THE DRIVER WITH THE SAME RESPECT. SHOULD YOU FIND ANY SCUK LTD DRIVER DOES NOT COME UP TO THE STANDARDS REQUIRED OR EXPECTED PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICES AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE. ANY INSTANCE WHERE A DRIVER IS VERBALLY OR PHYSICALLY ABUSED WILL BE REPORTED TO THE POLICE AND ALL PASSENGER DETAILS GIVEN. ALL SCUK LTD DRIVERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TRANSFER TO ANY INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP WHO APPEARS EXCESSIVELY INTOXICATED DUE TO THE EFFECTS OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
